One of the most common questions beginners have is: what size gloves do I need?
A simple guide:

12oz → Perfect for beginner boxer as they're lighter so easier to control and practise speed and accuracy.

14oz → More padding and protection for general training, also good for sparring.

16oz → Slightly heavier glove more focused for sparring and of a heavier weight category.
If you’re unsure, it’s always better to choose a slightly more protective option while you’re learning.
